HOLY CROSS
Dear friends,
I hope that you are all well and that you have all had a good week. We extend a warm welcome to everyone. Please join us for worship. Please see our parish website and parish facebook page for information of our weekly services, forthcoming events and devotional aids.
Today we celebrate Holy Cross Day. The cross on which Jesus was lifted up and crucified is for Christians the symbol of his victory over the power of evil. The image of the Cross is central to our expression of our faith and is the most recognisable of Christian symbols. On the cross Jesus made this instrument of humiliate, torture and death the instrument of our redemption. Today we give thanks that God so loved the world that he gave his only Son to death on the Cross for love of us.
